Photos of "The Great Wall of Cory"

The purpose of this site is for the friends and family of Cory to see the progression of the wall he is building. Eventhough you can see the progress from the pictures, it is hard to understand the magnatude of this project until you stand at one end of the wall and then look to the other end.

This wall has been and continues to be a hugh undertaking. Pictures will continue to be posted here so check back every so often and see the progress. Last update: June 24th, 2004.

If you have stumbled on this site and you do not know who Cory is, then you will probably have no interest in the pictures here.

Above is what the hillside looked like when we bought the house. As you look at the photo tour, keep in mind where the large oak tree is. Here it is in the upper center part of the picture. I will reference this oak tree a number of times. You will also notice the wood rail in the middle of the picture, this was a walk way that is now gone. Also when you go to the June 24th pictures, you will see that all the bushes are now gone too.

Above is what it looked like on Jan 15th, 2003. You can see that I have more fence up and some chipped up asphalt in the parking area. You can also see that the wall is past the oak tree. There is not much of the old hillside left.

After being forced to take a break from working on the wall.... (the city put a stop work order because of complaints from our neighbor)....I've started working on it again. (got the problem worked out with the city)

It is now June 24th, 2004 and you can see that the honeysuckle has taken over the fence. Also, if you can tell, the fruit tree (on the left, behind the fence) has grown and is bearing fruit. Other than the honeysuckle taking over the fence and a gate that I installed where the top of the stairs is (see the next picture) not much has changed, when looking at it from the street side. However, look at the photo tour pictures and you will see what I have done down below, between the wall and the house.

Looking from across the street. This gives a perspective of how the house is hidden by the wall and fence of honeysuckle
